Clutter, clutter, clutter. I am not talking about spring cleaning, but I am talking about spiritual cleaning. Romans 12:1-2 states “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” I want to stick on one part of the scripture, “but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”........

Recently I have been intrigued with all the excitement of the winter Olympics. Our weather here in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with snowfalls and temperatures often in the twenties and even teens, truly models the image of “winter.” What has caught my attention is the sheer determination on the faces of every Olympic hopeful......

It’s Christmas! What a wonderful time of the year. I don’t know if it’s the Christmas lights, the music, the friends and family coming together to celebrate and exchange gifts, or the awesome food, pies and parties. There is something almost magical about this time of year.......

I believe that I experienced the greatest presence of God that I have ever felt in my life last night at Abba’s House in Hixson, TN. I have been reading the book “The Pursuit of God” by A.W. Tozer. I will go ahead and put in my two cents and say that if you have not read this book or any book written by A.W. Tozer, go ahead and pick one up and let your life be changed........

When I was a child I loved to play hide and go seek. Just like every other child that has ever played this game, I wanted to find the best hiding spot. Nobody wanted to be the seeker, because the seeker or (pursuer) had to work at finding those who were hiding.

Good morning, Lord! That’s a big “good” for a big God, and a small “morning” because in a few hours it will be afternoon. Man, we serve a BIG God who loves BIG.....

I love the scripture in Psalm 42. We sing the song (My Soul Longs for You) in our church services. This song was written from this scripture. The second verse says, “Nothing else will do.” Oh Lord God, I pray that the cry of your church would be a cry of nothing else will do but being in Your presence.......

You might be like me in this aspect. I am not the best at waiting. I have gotten better over the years and I have learned patience. Just sometimes I want things to happen when I want them to....

For the past year, I have been determined to get into great physical shape. P90X BABY! I know some people are tired of hearing me talk about it! So to those few people all I have to say is, “P90X BABY!”......

I remember the many forms of mischief that I happened to fall into growing up on the farm in Henderson, Texas. I also remember paying the consequences for those stupid choices that I made. My dad would say, “This is going to hurt me more than it hurts you!” Standing there in a puddle of tears, my thought was, “Yeah right! I do not see you jumping, screaming, crying, and standing in front of the box fan trying to heal from the punishment!” My natural father was chastening, disciplining, me because of my wrong choices.....

Have you ever made the statement, “If I only knew back then what I know now, things would be different, easier, farther ahead, and so on?” I am writing this so that we will no longer have to live in the arena of regret but instead, live in the realm of freedom and victory!.....

There is no other way to title what I am writing today except for the date. Over the past month of February, we have been teaching on “Having Great Sex.” The topics of the month were Purity, Love, Victory and Freedom.

Recently I have had something pop up and hit me in the face. The fact that I am the Dad of an 8 year old girl who has just come to ask the gripping question, “Daddy, what is sex?” Of course, I did what all great men of God would do in this situation and I said, “Go ask your mother.”

Here we are at the end of 2008 and quickly approaching the beginning of a new year. Most people look at January 1 as the beginning of a new chapter of the book of their life. How do I enter into 2009 and either become someone better than I was last year or perhaps become someone new?

Today the Lord says that we are at the beginning of the first stages of preparation for the next 66 days that are coming. The prophecy that was given said that souls are coming, and that an abundance of rain is coming and this will be the preparation for what is coming in 2009. Then in 2009, we will see great numbers of souls and people coming to this church; those that are dry, hungry, and thirsty. It will be a lasting revival if we will prepare ourselves and make ready for the abundance of rain.

Have you ever thought about the one word question, WHY? Everyone has asked this question at one time or another. Why am I so fat? Why did I do that? Why can’t I be more like him or her? Why can’t I fly? Why can’t I go home from school? Why can’t I sleep more? Then this next question seems to have the same response when I ask it. Why did it HAPPEN TO ME?
