Parents' FAQ

When can I drop off my child?
Children can be dropped off 15 minutes prior to the beginning of our regular services or LifeGroups.  All parents need to stop by the check in area in the Hope building lobby. Children should never be left in a room without a leader in the room.

When should I pick up my child?
Please be considered of our volunteers by picking up your child immediately following the close of a service or activity.  Many of our volunteers also have children who they need to tend to. Being the last one to leave or having to wait an extended period of time for parents to arrive is stressful for your child.

How do I sign out my child?
All children are signed out of our Sunday and Wednesday services.  Please present your security sticker for pick up. The numbers will be matched before you can take your child.

My child has been been sick or run a fever - should I bring them to church?
In consideration of all children in our care, we ask if your child is ill or has been ill within the past 24 hours that you do not bring them to church.  Some signs of illness may include:  fever, diarrhea or vomiting, inflamed mouth and throat, coughing, sneezing, runny nose or eyes, and any type of rash.  Our volunteers and staff are not permitted to administer medication to children.  Children should be fever free without fever- reducing medicine for 24 hours.  Children who have been to the doctor and are on antibiotics must be on the medication for at least 24 hours before returning.  Thanks for your help in maintaining a healthy environment.

Can friends and relatives stop by to see my child while they are in LifeGroup or children's services?
Please ask friends and relatives to visit with your child at a different time and outside the children's areas of our church.  This helps us protect the children in our care.

Can I bring food or snacks for my child?
We provide snacks for children from toddler - First Grade on Sunday morning.  Please do not bring any snacks or solid food for your child.  This will help us with providing allergy safe classrooms.  We will be happy to answer any questions about the snacks we serve and work with you and your child.

Can I drop off my child and leave campus?
We want to provide the best care we can for your little one. Parents of preschool children are required to stay on campus while their child is in our care.  Parents of elementary children need to be readily available. If it is necessary for the parent to leave the church campus we ask that you leave a cell phone number where you can be reached with the person in charge.

Things parents of preschool children will want to know:
Labeling all of your children's belonging will make it easier to get them all back home to you.  Please do not bring toys or food from home.  We have toys and snacks here for your child.

What about when my child is potty training?
It is our privilege to partner with you as your child handles this milestone in their development.  Our goal is to not only help you with training, but also to keep a clean and sanitary environment for all children. We ask that you please send your child in a pull-up if they are potty training but not yet fully potty-trained.  Here's how we define this important time:

Potty-trained: - your child is dropped off with no special instructions about taking them to the bathroom.  The child will tell the worker if they need help.
Potty-training:  Your child has to be asked whether they need to go to the restroom or the you have to tell the worker to take the child at certain times.
